Catastrophic failure when migrating to new host

    • Hi, I am looking for help to resolve a problem with a migration to a new host. I have v. 3.1.6 Rokcommon and am not able to load the administration page -- I get a blank screen. The error messages all say

NOTICE rokcommon Directory .../com_rokgallery/lib does not exist. Unable to add to Class Loader
2NOTICE rokcommon Unable to find registered container config file rokgallery at .../components/com_rokgallery/container.xml

On a previous try I got a similar message related to rokcommon .

Are there special things that need to be done when migrating a site with this?

      Thanks for your help!!

    • "3.1.6 Rokcommon" hmm... I think the latest version is 3.1.1

As long as your site meets the requirements for Joomla and RokGallery you should be fine.
However, possibly due to .htaccess file or Apache group ownership issues, neither Joomla or our extensions can access those files. This is assuming they physically exist on the server.

    • Thank you for your reply. I clearly got confused with version numbers. There actually is no directory ".../components/com_rokgallery" in the system. It is this way on the live site that works too. I have the front end up and running fine, and the admin login page comes up okay, but when I log in I just get a white page. I have gone over server settings many times and everything seems to be okay. The only errors I get are those I presented on my first post, above. Do you have any other ideas? Why is it looking for a directory and xml file that doesn't exist?

Well they exist on my server. Would you please create a Super Admin login for me along with FTP access info and place it in the SECURE part of your Reply

    • File Ownership is not allowing me to do anything through FTP.
      So your options are:
      1) Would you please send me Cpanel access info and place it in the SECURE part of your Reply

      2) Try this on your own -> http://www.rockettheme.com/forum/joomla-extension-roksprocket/214750

I tried the instructions you gave me in the link above, a few days before I left a message on this forum. The result was that the login screen gave a fatal error, saying that Roksomething wasn't availabe and had to be on for things to work. I don't remember the the exact message. Since I had deleted those two rows in the db I resorted to doing a db restore and putting the directory names back to the way they were

This was a toughie but your good to go. Something is going on with your CiviCRM User Management plugin that was causing the backend blank screen. So I disabled the plugin -> set Enabled = 0 in the DB and voila, backend.

I've attached the exported CiviCRM User Management plugin table in case you need it to show the Civicrm people.

I've reinstalled your RokSprocket and your good there.

One last piece of advice. The site looks like it took a LOT of work, very professional looking so backup your site with a free copy of Akeeba backup
