Config on Hadron wordpress template

Hello Guys,
I recently switched from joomla to wordpress, hoping to switch to a easier template to maintain. However I'm running into issues left and right trying just to understand how to set it up. Hopefully it's not to much to ask but I really need a dummy guide to get the template set up just to look right.
Everything I try something doesn't work right or the images are just blown out and I can't shrink them what so ever. Assistance would be greatly appreciated if you guys don't mind thanks.

Is it a new site or existing site?
If new, I'd highly recommend using the RocketLauncher to install everything: Wordpress, Theme, Demo Content... it'll give you an idea of how everything is configured...
You say you switched from Joomla to WP to find an "easier" template... what were you struggling with? How much of Gantry/Joomla did you understand?
Gantry in Wordpress is very similar but there's certainly some stark differences... everything's a widget and you need Overrides to control which widgets appear on which pages...

Each theme has a ton of documentation... from the Theme's overview page here on this site, where you launch the Demo from, click the Documentation button... - SEARCH the forum first! These boards are rich in knowledge and vast in topics. This includes searching just the 'Solved' forums, using Google, and using ChatGPT

Is it a new site or existing site? No, the site isn't new, just wanting to switch from joomla to wordpress. I have a domain and everything and i've had the website for 8 years.

Basically I've been struggling with everything to try to keep my current site update, since our buddy that helped us set it up let us. So my brother and I have been doing our best to maintain it. So we know next to nothing and basically just try to understand the best we can with what we can figure out on our own.

Yeah, I'm seeing that with the template how much widgets are involved. But it's like I need all the correct ones installed and then like i'd be able to probably figure it out on what goes where once that's done. But getting just the layout going like the way the demo shows for Hadron is proving to be just as difficult as Joomla. But I have no doubt that once everything is up it'll be easier for me to maintain.

Ok, so it IS a new wordpress site... switching CMS is a major change and you're effectively going to be starting with a new install
Whether it's a Joomla RocketLauncher or a Wordpress Rocketlauncher it's available from the Theme's overview page

So new to web design... do you have prior experience with WordPress? Is that why you want to switch? I personally think Joomla sites are easier to administer but everyone has their own preference... WordPress is a bit easier if you're running a "blog" but the layout and controls of pages is easier, to me, in Joomla...
To your last point... Use the RocketLauncher! It'll give you the FULL demo site and then you go through the backend and see how it's all configured... - SEARCH the forum first! That it is a new wordpress website. My website is a sports talk show, so we felt like we didn't need all the stuff that joomla has that it was a little much. Word Press we've been using it for just as a blog for another portion of our site from actually wordpress. So now we want that as the full design for our current website. Because we just want to be able to post stuff up easier and quicker. We found with joomla we weren't able to do that.
As for rocketlauncher, I downloaded it but i'm trying to follow the directions as best as I can and having no luck getting it installed? I'm trying not to get frustrated, but man no wonder why our buddy always did it for us..haha.

so the RocketLauncher installs EVERYTHING, including Wordpress... you simply need to log into your cPanel/Server backend and create a database and database user with full privledges and have the database name, username, and password that you create handy...
Simply uncompress the RocketLauncher zip file and upload all the contents to your webroot...
hit your website from a browser and you'll be guided through a 3 step process to install everything...
