I've been searching Google and this forum for "btowles" for an answer, but not having much luck.
A scan of our Joomla site reports 22 modified core Joomla files. All are in the libraries/phputf8 directory. What I have found seems to indicate this is a change that's relatively common in other Gantry installations.
The core file includes "* @version $Id$" on line 3
The revisied file has the following in its place:
* "@version $Id: strspn.php 20755 2014-04-30 22:20:58Z btowles $"
It's all part of a commented section, so I don't think it's a significant issue, just want to make sure.
1) Is this something I should be concerned about from a security point of view?
2) Would there be an issue if I reverted these back to the core version?
Gantry 4 doesn't modify/override any Core Joomla files... I don't think Gantry 3 even did that... Gantry does Override core files in the proper Joomla Override manner, via it's own Override but it does not modify/change normal Joomla files...
**I am not a Gantry Developer, but that's my understanding**
