  • Joomla theme compromised - need update.

    • Hello,
      i had an account with you many moons ago, and recently, i'd been informed that one of my joomla sites had become infected with malicious content and quarantined. I've been told by the host that i need to reinstall and update the themes and plugins for security. Is it possible to download the latest version of zephyr in this case, as i expect it may be more secure than the version i bought mid-2012?

    • it's not the Template that was hacked... it was Joomla...

      Upgrading Joomla *might* solve the issue but you really need to root out the malicious code first (which is hard in older versions of Joomla because Joomla use to natively use ev​al() which is the type of code you're probably looking for) and then upgrade Joomla...

      And yes, we always recommend updating the Template as we publish new releases... and you'll need new template code if upgrading to a newer version of Joomla as well... you'll need to purchase a subscription for that though.
