SOLVED How to remove menu from landing pages

  • SOLVED How to remove menu from landing pages

Posted 10 years 2 months ago
    • Hi. I am using Kirigami (v 1.7) on my Joomla 2.5.28 site with Gantry 4.1.27. I am creating landing pages to use in conjunction with paid search ads -- a lead clicks on the ad and is taken to the landing page, reads some information, and is encouraged to submit contact details for more info. I don't want my main menu to appear on these landing pages but cannot figure out how to configure the menu to not appear. I have gone into Templates Magager for Kirigami and then to Assignments and deselected the langing page, but the menu still appears on the landing page.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! (Thank you in advance.)

Why not create a template override for the landing page and there deselect the Main menu.

    • Please would you explain what you mean by a template override

This Joomla article describes what I understand to be meant by this term

      docs.joomla.org/J3.x:How_to_use_the_Temp...r#Creating_Overrides

and that does not solve the problem (we do not want to override RokNavMenu module for instance)

To be clear (and I am assuming the original question is exactly the problem we are trying to solve),

*** is it possible to turn off the main menu for selected pages ***

This question seems to apply to ALL RT templates

The usual mechanism of de-selecting the Menu module or the RokNavMenu module for the required pages does not work (!)

    • Wow, that's handy

I had been wondering why Joomla had separated Style and Template in the template manager

      Thank you

Always check the Docs page first. I think our Doc Ryan (guru) has written some incredibly extensive information

    • Hello,

I am having an issue with my new Hadron template. For some reason, I am unable to get the offline page to show. I have both the 'Site Offline' tab, and the 'Coming Soon' set to off, but my home page still shows when offline. Any ideas?

      Thank you.
