SOLVED Could not connect to the database. Connector returned number: Could not con

Posted 9 years 6 months ago
    • I have seen this for many templates. I have it for Chapelco using Locketlauncher. I have had it before a year or two back
I have run the launch process from scratch and had it. I have gone back and created the database manuually in cpanel, and changed the DBname and User name over and over. I can create and change the DB and users and privledges over and over in Cpanel, but the RocketLauncher can never connect.

      Your help appreciated

    • Okay - you have no configuration.php file in your [JOOMLA-ROOT] folder. This file is crucial as it links your DB to your site files. Any idea what happened to it?

    • No, I created the account, uploaded the Rocket Launcher and... have the problem. Should the system create it, Should RocketLauncher do it?

I can teardown the account and start over.

At the end of the RocketLauncher install when you finish the DB information entry then at that point it will write the configuration.php file.
I don't know why it didn't do that on your 1st try.
I'll logout for now and please check " How to Install a Joomla 3.x RocketLauncher "

Try again and if you need help then just post back.
