password misplaced when using rocket launcher

  • password misplaced when using rocket launcher

    • I know I'm an idiot. I stuffed up.

I finally got the whole rocket launcher thingey to work and installed the Media Mogul template on my website. 2 main issues have come up.

      Most importantly
      1. - when I saw the user name (admin) and then password (forgotten!!!) I simply moved on to the next screen thinking that the password was the one I created when initially setting up the mysql database. I have now deleted the installation file and have come up to the admin screen for joomla to realise that I don't know the admin password :(

admin screen comes up at the following location
      e-adec.com/eadec/Joomla_RT_MediaMogul/administrator/index.php

      2. - the website comes up at the wrong location. ie I want it to simply come up if I type e-adec.com
The website now only comes up if i type in a long winded address ie...
      e-adec.com/eadec/Joomla_RT_MediaMogul/
This is not as I had planned. If i can get an admin password is there a way that I can change the site so that it comes straight from e-adec.com?

Thankyou to whoever is able to get me out of this silly mess I've put myself into.

    • If you know how to get into your cpanel, which from the looks of it, no, but if you do, sign up on the main page of your site, REMEMBER the password, go to your cpanel, go to MySQL databases, then phpMyAdmin, click on users, click on browse, find your old and new id's, copy the new password into the admin one, you are in.

      The passwords are encrypted.

    • You're a legend.

      Still a bit stuck though.

I went into cpanel. I got into find the password. It's huge and long ie encrypted i spose.

I copied and past the long password and no luck :(

      What am I doing wrong?

    • Sign-up for a new one at http://e-adec.com/eadec/Joomla_RT_MediaMogul/

Then go back and copy the new encrypted one into the first admin one.

Do whatever. myname and pass, pass being the password.

It will get encrypted, but it is pass.

I just signed up. I did a password as

      mypass

So the 2nd one down, the encrypted is mypass, throw the encrypted into the admin one, it becomes

      admin
      mypass

    • If i try to sign up for a new one it won't take "pass" as a password as it is too small :(

    • You said you have been into the cpanel, you said you saw the encrypted password for admin.

Now, go back to the cpanel, in there will now be a 2nd login, I believe it is myname, I gave it the password mypass, it will be encrypted. copy it and edit the admin login and replace the forgotten password, which is encrypted, with the new encrypted password.

    • Better yet, just make the 2nd name or a new one you just signed up, change

      Registered

      to

      Super Administrator

If block is 1,change it to a 0

    • I see what you mean. I tried a similar thing a few minutes ago. Problem is that if I try to do any editting I come up against the following...

      Error
      SQL query:

      A

      MySQL said:

#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'A' at line 1
