    • Hi Guys,

I'm new to all this and I'm struggling to get my rocket launcher to work correctly.

      I have installed Centos 6.7 - Apache 2.2.15 - mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.1.73 - PHP 5.3.10

I have verified that the webserver is running OK, I have unzipped my rocket launcher file into the webserver root folder.

when I run through the install process on the rocketlauncher, it goes ok apart from the configuration.php file is not writeable. (no matter what I do from a file and folder permission persepctive)

I then finish the install, I have to manually remove the install folder & create the configuration.php file

then when I go to the root of the webserver I get the error below.

'Failed to load 'rt_xenon' template: mkdir(): Permission denied'

Now I have spent the past 5 days fighting with this, I have searched high and low and cannot find a resolution. I have even installed a fresh centos 7 box and I get exactly the same.

I am using the root user to go through the install without any changes. I have even given full read write permissions on the entire file structure thinking it was a file permission issue and this made no difference at all..

If the machine in question was not a VM I would have assaulted it with a large and heavy object some time ago... I wonder if anyone has any tips and might take pity on me and point out the error in my ways..

I look forward to a sea of replies...

Merry Christmas in advance to one and all

      Thanks

      Dave

    • Gantry 5 requires PHP 5.4+

I'd highly recommend ensuring your PHP Handler is set to FastCGI

    • Hi,

      Thanks for your help.

I have upgraded to PHP version 5.4.45 and gone through the process of activating the PHP FastCGI settings, but sadly I still get the same issue.

I'm beginning to lose the will to live !!

      :-)

      Thanks

      Dave

    • Are you still having issues with this?

Based on your error it appears that Gantry cannot create a folder due to permissions issue... Gantry is a PHP based system so your PHP Handler needs to be the same Owner/Group as your webspace... if your PHP Handler is FastCGI this should occur by default which leads me to believe that you have other permissions issues going on... perhaps you could ask your host to help ensure that your PHP Handler has the correct permissions to create folders and files within your webspace
