Notice: Use of undefined constant ‘full’ - assumed '‘full’'

Posted 8 years 9 months ago
    • Hi all,

I'm recovering from a hack which rewrote all of the index.php files on my server. I have removed all the hacked files and reuploaded a index.php from a rocket theme template to match the website (I'm not sure if the index.php files are different in any way).

Anyway, I get this error - Notice: Use of undefined constant ‘full’ - assumed '‘full’' in /home/public_html/sitename/includes/framework.php on line 52

I can't find any assistance on this anywhere though the hosts say that it may be due to an error with the joomla installation, possibly limited space. I'm using Joomla 3.4.8.

Can you give me any guidance on the above?

    • the hosting company told me I needed a default core file.

If correct, can someone send me that file?

    • You can download joomla from their site and replace any files you need to from that. Be careful which ones you overwrite though as you could break your installation. Also make sure you download the exact same version as you already have installed.

    • As I can access the backend, would updating to joomla 3.5.1 solve this problem?

    • I fixed the problem by copying index.php from a download of joomla 3.4.8.

I have one last question, is the index.php file included with rockettheme templates different?

    • It was the one in the root.

Previously I had tried to use indexphp from the root of a rockettheme folder - it didn't work.

The index.php from joomla core worked immediately.

    • The index.php in the root folder is joomla's index.php and we don't change that at all. So, it's correct that you would copy that from joomla. The templates index.php is in a different folder /templates/templatename/index.php and should remain there - you can't copy that to the root it's a different file altogether. There are also many many other index.php files throughout the joomla installation and the template installation - none of them are interchangeable.

      Regards, Mark.
