  • Frontpage Demo loads fine, the rest of the pages display only text!

      I just installed the Hivemind rocketlauncher. When I hit the preview button and want to see the demo site the frontpage loads fine but the rest of the pages display only text and links... :-\

      HiveMind RocketLauncher (J! 1.5)
      URL: www.kennisplek.nl
      Browsers: Safari, Firefox, IE
      Windows server (I checked with my hosting company and they ensured me there server is Joomla! 1.5 compatible)
      MySQL5 activated
      Demo content installed during installation

      If you have had a similar experience or have a tip, I would be very glad receive some advice.

      I'm a Joomla! noob and are totally in the dark concerning this problem. I hope it's just an installation error I might have made.

    • In global configuration > SEO settings I changed: Search Engine Friendly URLs, back to No. This has solved the problem with the pages only displaying text.

      Anybody have an idea why having Search Engine Friendly URLs On. created this problem?

      Thanks for your tip. I am going to have to take a minute to digest the info on the post you sent me. It looks promising.

      I will try these steps:

      1) Started with a clean database and install of Synapse
      2) Download sh404SEF from extensions.joomla.org/component/option,c...80/Itemid,35/#action
      3) Change the htaccess.txt to .htaccess from your CPanel
      4) Upload sh404SEF into Joomla from the administrator
      5) In Global Configurations, turn on BOTH Search Engine Friendly URLs and Use Apache mod_rewrite
      6) Go into the sh404SEF component and click "enable"
      7) Your site should now reflect a default SEF URL

      and see what happens ;)
