URGENT: How to log admin users

Is there anyway to currently log the activities of administrative (backend) users? I am in need of a solution to do this. We have several admins who will be managing different aspects of the sites, and we want to make sure we know who is doing what, and who last updated a specific content without going through individual articles or sections. This should also provide last login information for each administrator.
I search the joomla extension page for something that can log admin users (Joomla 1.5 native), but did not see any. Not sure if I am searching properly. Please help.

It's surprising that no one has taught about that up till now for a robust enterprise level CMS like Joomla where there are sure to be multiple admins.

Apparently some bits may be simple, but others quite difficult without hacking extensions to add tracking.
Superman11 added content item "Save the forests"
Jack deleted user account superboy94
Jack edited content item "Save the forests"
argo_jinx installed component com_ninjaXplorer
John added product "Remote controlled chopper" to product category "Big Boys Toys" in component com_virtuemart
In the above example, the last one would require the event tracking to be built into Virtuemart, or it would have to be hacked (not desirable)
There may be another way that doesn't require hacking extensions, but not sure if it's technically feasible. Will get back to you on that. - Say no to Internet Explorer 6.

- Anything that will work without hacking will do. I don't even likle the idea of hacking because most of the time, one has to keep up with patching after every joomla upgrade. Not a great idea. Tha's why I am running away from using JACL Plus right now.

hmmm.... apparently impossible without hacking. And even then, there would be a significant performance hit if it were done.
This should be put into the core just like phpbb has.
I'll let you know if anything further comes up, but not likely in the near future.
Back to James's (James'?) suggestion above.. keep trying on the J forums... many brilliant minds there. - Say no to Internet Explorer 6.

Just a thought.
You on cPanel hosting? If you password protect your admin directory, and give each admin a different user/pass, you can view your logs by authenticated user.
I'm not sure exactly what you'll see, or if it's useful, but it might give you the info you're looking for.
