Users can't Register and get : You must log in first

I'm stuck in a loop here and have searched all day in several forums and can't find the solution.
I'm running the rt_sporticus_v2_j15 template on Joomla 1.5.6. tested iy but creating an account for myself and then proceed to install Modules and componants. a week later I'm then inform by users they can't log in. so I started to install componants I installed but still users can't register. My site is www.northdublineagles.com
If anybody has had this issue before and has a fix could you please let me know asap. I'm about to wipe everything for the third time now so getting pretty frustrated. also I installed the rt_sporticus_v2_dark template and that wont even load. Stuck with "Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/eastcoasteagles.com/httpdocs/templates/rt_sporticus_v2_dark/

Could these be related? Reinstall recommended?
