Hi All,
I'm just getting toward the end of my first website, and first Joomla site. Everything built on MAMP so far, with a lot of work and learning involved.
I just purchased my domain name and web space and will upload within the next day.
Please help a nervous Joomla noob...
Is there anything I MUST be doing or adding to my site before I upload ???
Meaning along the lines of security of the site, safety of the data, ensuring a clean backup etc. I plan to use Cyberduck for FTP.
Prevention is always better than cure

Thanks James, I appreciate your advice, but this is an entirely different question than my other question which was about how to upload. And if I can't get that sorted straight away, I suppose I'll have to find somewhere else to ask for support because that question was locked for some unknown reason ???
This question was a matter of security.
