guys, setting up the hosting (so i can get some proper help - the wamp localhost is militing my ability to be troubleshooted!!!
I've got to the setpup part and dont know what to enter...
on wamp/xamp hwatever
I goto http://localhost/site1 locally
and lets pretend my admin login/pword for joomla is 1234 1234 - are these the values i need to enter in the form in the pic? and that the hell o i pout for the jos_ thingy!
Sorry for being crap - this is uphill for me!!

On localhost, you need to create a new database for your install using phpmyadmin.
The info you get from that (database) is what you enter into the pic.

Hi Mike,
thanks for your reply, tho not sure if it is what i need (unless I am missing things here!).
Anyway, I got going - so with my hoster - hostmonster.com I've installed joomla but with a default database and not my lovely (but half broken) Replicant V2 site.
So my question is how do i install the Rv2 site that i have partially developed, and also get it to point at the database that i hve been working on on my laptop - where i have been building.
essentially i am not sure if a simple FTP uload will do the trick or whether i need to runsome install or db overwrite from my online joomla administrator...
hope i am being clear!

- Import the database with PHPMyAdmin. Database prefixes and such is manageble from within Joomla admin.
- Please reply with a direct link to the issue & create a new thread for each new issue.

Thx prim i will give it a go (after i am successful at loadng and installing the template on the site - it keeps failing whren i do it thru the joomla admin!).
This site *will* get up and running... or kittens will die!!!
