    Assigned default template won't show for whole site (rocketlauncher)

    • Hi,
      Apologies if this is a newbie question but I've read through and practised the tutorials and scoured the forums but still can't find the answer to my issue.

      I have installed Replicant via the RocketLauncher to my root directory. I have set it as the default template. Then, I imported my content - articles, menu, etc

      Now the Replicant template only works on some of the pages, not all...even though replicant is the default and there are no other templates assigned to anything. I want replicant to be my total default template without any pages reverting to milkyway.

      Any ideas? What am I doing wrong?

    • Actually, we used the migration function, during the installation, having migrated from 1.15.

    • Methinks it might be easier (for me, trying to migrate as well) to migrate from 1.15 to J1.5, and then install the template and not worry about using the rocket launcher.

      Probably so.

      However, I'm sure the modules and positions are going to be different so you'll need to do some reorganizing.

      Another point to consider, once you apply the template any module positions that are not native to the Joomla install will have to be added manually, along with any extensions for the template.

      After seeing all l the content you have I normally wouldn't suggest this, but you may be better off starting fresh.

      Iinstall Replicant without any sample data and thed build the site off line.

      Like I said, you have tons of content, so no easy task, but in the end, neat and tidy.
