I don't want to have to ask this question... but I do. I have a client whose server is running PHP 4.4.1. I spoke with the host who says they will not be upgrading till next year. I know, that doesn't help me much now
So, my question is this:
What version of Joomla is compatable with the following, and when they upgrade to 5 will I have problems doing the same?
PHP 4.4.1
MySql 3.23.58

Hi Nanci,
It looks like you just barely make it for each version of Joomla. I would recommend Joomla 1.5.x as the best bet for the future. It's also more secure, I don't know all the statistics and code behind it, but I try to stay up to date with the Joomla security thread and its always VERY highly recommended to upgrade to J 1.5.x and to try to keep it running in Native mode.
