Help, User groups and article / page display

  • Help, User groups and article / page display

    • Hi all,

I am new to joomla and just recently signed up as a member here.

If anyone could help with the following questions I would be greatly appreciative

      1. What is the best way to create new user groups within Joomla / restrict Access?
I have integrated AMember with joomla and vbulletin successfully but now I am stuck with being able to restrict content to various user groups depending on their subscription. It would be ideal to be able to assign users to multiple user groups. IE a registered member may purchase additional products and then limit only those users to them.

      2. I installed the versatility 4 template but I am unable to figure out why some articles display full page without the side menu bar and yet other articles have it. What setting(s) determine this layout behavior.

      3. How does one get a forum integrated within Joomla with the Joomla header and footer being displayed ? I have played with the wrapper but this then messes up links.

      4. Can anyone reccommend a good SEO extension(s) for Joomla on an IIS server?

      Thanks

    • 1. Joomla doesn't offer this facility, you would need a 3rd party extension from extensions.joomla.org

      2. Ensure that the article is linked via the menu and that you have assigned modules to the article's menu link

      3. You may wish to ask at forum.joomla.org concerning that and the same with #4
