Different backgrounds for user's resolution

I am trying to figure out a way to center the bg in different screen resolutions. I almost think it would be easy to have a different bg for each of the main screen resolutions. I ran across this thread on another website... couldn't find anything here.

I have a website that needs logos my current bg doesn't work in a 1024px wide resolution, looks fine in 1280....
Has anyone add a js like this to load different backgrounds for different resolutons?
