RokNewsRotator: images not displayed

    • Hello all,

      I have a small (i hope) issue with the RokNewsRotator in MediaMogul for Joomla 1.5.
      I tried to create an article with an image inside, and it doesn't display the picture. I also tried to use the code in the pdf files, and it doesn't work either (wysiwyg disabled).

      Can anyone help please?

      I know this issue has been posted earlier (November), but i no longer have access to the member area. I have no live site at the moment, hence why I have not rejoined, but if someone could just give me a hint / help, that would be greatly appreciated.

      Many thanks!

      Seb

    • Have you followed the instructions in the tutorials?

      Are you pasting and saving code with a WYSIWYG editor?

      If so, paste in HTML view with the Code Cleanup on Save feature off in the WYSIWYG editor's settings or turn off your WYSIWYG editor in Global Configurations.

      A recent upgrade to 1.5.8?

    • Thank you Jem for your reply;

      I've pasted the code, and nothing is removed when saving. Links to the images are fine, they appear when I'm on wysiwyg screen, when using the preview feature on 1.5.8, or when clicking on the article's title (the article loads with the image on top).

      the article title, the text, both appears fine in the rotator, but not the images. The module is in position "user 1", to have a similar result as in the demo.
      It's a fresh installation, with the latest Joomla package.

    • I just read the tutorial on the demo version for J1.5 (I was reading the pdf before that are included in the package), and this got me confused:
      *****
      If you wish to place inside an Article, follow the instructions below:-

      1. Navigate to Admin > Extensions > Modules Manager > RokNewsRotator
      2. Assign the module to the rotator position (you can type this position into the field if not in dropdown)
      3. Create your article
      4. Insert the following syntax {loadposition rotator} into the content item.

      The article will now load the module
      ********
      If I follow this, and put the module on the rotator position, the module disappear from my front page. I looked at the index.php file for the template, there is no reference to a "rotator" position... has the package been updated since I dl it?? I have the template version 1.5.2 ...

    • If there is no rotator position then use another position? :)

    • If there is no rotator postion in the pull down menu, type "rotator" into the "position" field on the Module-Edit screen.

      You must have this code at the top of the article to call up the photo:
      <!--IMAGE images/foldername/photoname.jpg IMAGE-->
      Be sure to put it in with your WYSIWYG editor turned off in the Global Configuration site screen.
