Can someone tell me which files how can I Copy my virtuemart site to a new domain name? Right now, i have already dropped all the files under the new domain and it shows up but the products are still coming from the old domains database. so if i make a change or add to cart, it goes to my old domain, not my new one?
I know i need to edit 1-2 files and put in my new domain name but i was not sure where those files were.

hi,
it might be your
Site URL
SECUREURL
in your VM configuration still point to the old domain
Change it forcely like this:
1. Login to your joomla administrator panel
2. Change the URL to:
Your-New-Domain.com/ administrator/index.php?pshop_mode=admin&page=admin.show_cfg&option=com_virtuemart
3. Find the field for:
Site URL <--- This might be still your old domain
SECUREURL <--- This might be still your old domain
4. Fill those with Your-New-Domain.com/

i mae this change on the server under admin virtuemart to the virtuemart.cfg.php
/ these path and url definitions here are based on the Joomla! Configuration
define( 'URL', ' www.yellowfinoutfitters.com/ ' );
define( 'SECUREURL', ' www.yellowfinoutfitters.com/ ' );
is that the only place i need to make a change for the VM to work from the new VM database?

- yes, you can change there too if you prefer to edit the file

many ways to rome
my way, I usually just edit it via the link on my previous post without editing any file and it always work.
