    • Thanks!
I was wondering why the URL looks like this: www.web2seo.ro/index.php/ features-mainmenu-35/rokzoom-mainmenu-37/ks-conan-seehof.html

Why do I get the part in blue? Is it ok to leave it like this? If not, how could I remove or change it?

      Thx again

    • I checked the articles, categories and section managers and still don't know why my url's look like this. Maybe there is something left from the demo files?

    • OK,

Good topic and I'm an EXTREME noob when it comes to this stuff.

      Running Joomla! 1.5
sh404SEF (have active META mgmt turned off)
      SEOSimple

In Joomla! Global Config I have:
      Search Engine Friendly URLs Yes
      Use Apache mod_rewrite Yes

I changed the htaccess.txt file to .htaccess

I'm still seeing URL like this: index.php/News-MID/viliv-720p-1080p.html
      which include the "index.php"

I've read a ton of threads and posts at the Joomla forums and what is also posted here but cannot for the life of me figure it out. Can someone please help? I can't believe it's this hard.

That's indeed the issue. When you modified the menu links you left the alias name from the demo. Joomla uses the alias to create SEO links. All you have to do is delete what's in there, then save and Joomla will take care of the rest.

Thanks, now I found it ;)

That's a tough one Jeff. Can I ask why you're using sh404sef and SEOSimple with Joomla's SEO turned on? You should only need one to get SEF URLs. Try this out for me real quick. Turn those extra components off, or uninstall them, and make sure all the Joomla SEO options are set to "Yes." Also, clear out your Joomla cache. Let me know if that fixes the problem for you.
