Website with subdomains for fulfillment?

anyone have some suggestions on how to offer sub stores on 1 site. We want to create corporate stores for some of our customers that would show just their VM products, their own about us, contact us apge, etc... Something like:
www.companya.cpstores.com
cpstores would be our site and we would add in the companies name as a subdomain name. We did not know if we would have to create/upload a complete and separate joomla site for them or is there some way to have 1 site with 1 VM store and seperate the different stores on the site so if a customer is in one store, they would not see the other stores products and the look at that store would be uniqe (template, colors, menu, links, etc..).

Possible ... but how's your coding skill?
You'd need a custom menu for each sub-store, plus some mod_rewrite directives to redirect the subdomain call to specific pages in your Joomla install. - Ragdata's Rubber Duck
