params.ini file resetting it’s self to ‘unwritable’.

We are trying to set up a custom colour to the Chromatophore template:
Primary Color: #7ac79b
Primary Text: #d1d4de
Secondary Color: #7F0013
Secondary Text: #d1d4de
Tertiary Color: #7F0013
Tertiary Text: #d1d4de
A new theme has been added to the mooRainbow.js and uploaded to the server – this shows on the drop down for the colour chooser:
"Charterhouse": ["overlay-carbon", "#7ac79b", "#d1d4de", "#7F0013", "#d1d4de", "#7F0013", "#d1d4de"],
When we entered the template colour info via the template admin and it has knocked out the display of all the other template options. Also, although the params.ini file is ‘writable’ when we access the template admin, every time we save the new preferences the params.ini file resets it’s self to ‘unwritable’.
Can you give us some guidance as to where we have gone wrong and how we can rectify the problem.

- try changing the file permission for params.ini file through your ftp client

Changed the permissions on administrator\components\com_template\controller.php to 755 and everything is working fine.

Hello,
The params.ini has again reset itself to unwritable and will not show any of the changes we are trying to effect.
The template is Chromatophore.
Any ideas?
