someone overwrites templates index.php (catalyst)

hello
I've got an issue with catalyst template. once every couple of days the index.php file of the template is overwrited - logo of the site disappears and loads of "VIAGRA urls" are inserted into the code. in the server acces log there are loads of IPs from all the world that get 404.html. I'm not sure if there already was such a topic (not native english). I know nothing about SQL and almost nothing about php, but I can try to get familiar with it if the problem is somewhere in there. or is it known issue?

If you are running any version lower than 1.5.6 there is a security hole.
Upgrade your Joomla version to at least 1.5.6, or the current 1.5.9 as soon as possible. - Thanks,
