Section blog in module position

I am not sure if this topic fits in here...since I can't get an answer for this at Joomla! forum.... I thought someone here might know the way since RT templates are designed with plenty module positions, someone might have done what I want to do.
Is there a way to insert/embed a specific Section (in Section blog layout format ) into a module position? I can't seems to find one existing extension for this...or is there any other work around?
Please advise.
FYI, I am using Joomla! 1.5.9 with Perihelion template.
