can frontpage modules/content differs when user come back?
Posted 16 years 2 months ago
Hi all !
I need to display a slighly different frontpage when the user come back on the site...
Do you know if there is a way to achieve this?
I suppose a cookie based solution should work, but Joomla is quite a big CMS now, and I've no idea where is the best entry point to tweak the code
Maybe there is a simplier way to process without breaking the joomla core source code.
Any help is welcome

hi spark,
not sure, but have you tried a search over at
extensions.joomla.org/
?
they might have an extension that can help you.

Hi Kat !
Well... I found a commercial module called "Welcome back User" but this module only checks when a user last logged in.
And also it does not change the content of the frontpage, but only shows a "welcome back" custom message.
The problem is that the website I'm currently working on only has guest users
