<TABLE> problem

    • I am a newbie, so please bare with me?

      I have recently added a plugin that will allow me to embed PHP code.

      Do I need one for basic html and/or table building?

      When I try to build a table (in both the article and the HTML editor) it does not work? For instance
      <table>
      <tr>
      <td>
      <option>
      <select>
      <form>
      etc....

      Does this make sense? - I am hoping I am explaining this correctly? Any helpw ould greatly be appreciated!

    • You can create your tables in your favorite HTML editor and paste them into Articles or Modules using no editor.

    • JEM,

      I am sorry, but I do not understand? I have done that before, and it just showed all the code instead of 'outputting' the code (if that makes sense)??

      I use Smultron for my MAC and Notepad++ for my Windows machine. - when I try to build the tables inside the 'HTML' editor within Joomla! and publish it, it shows up within the site, but it does not format correctly, and you cannot type within a text field (if I create a text field). - AGAIN, if this all makes sense!!??

    • You have to turn off your WYSIWYG editor.
