Module positions for non-menu items?

Hi there, here's a quick couple-a questions for ya
How to i make sure that modules appear when u click on a link that isnt from a menu? For example, with rokIntroScroller, when u click readmore it takes u to the article but all modules that should appear have dissapeared. I understand how to ensure modules appear when u click on Main Menu links.
Also, I'm using the hyperion template, in the ICON position from the demo are links to home, contact etc. I want to use images for the links (so i know i have to change the home-log, contact-logo etc) but these logo's will show, along with the menu text. Considering I want the new icons to be text with the link name this will look like HOME home. How can I add just the image without the title showing? Hope this is poss
