I've been trying to setup a subdomain for a week now and it's not working correctly. I'm about to give up.
Is it possible to put another joomla installation inside the main installation? For example, if I put a folder called "second_website" at the main site root and put a whole new joomla install inside that folder, would I experience any wierd issues?
Doing a sub-domain would be preferable, but it just isn't happening for me so I'm looking for other options.

If your joomla site is loaded in the root, htdocs or public_html, you can place a folder there, name it what you like, "second_website" is fine....
Create a second DB, upload the Joomla files to that folder, point your browser to that directory, and you should be able to run the install with no problems. - Thanks,
