    • Hello,
      I created a website on my server and moved to a clients server. In Global Configuration / Server / Server Settings I see the old path based on my server. When I go to change the path it will not apply my changes?!? I have entered the FTP user / pass and they are valid, but still my changes are not applied.

      Is there a folder where I can manually alter the path? This glitch seems to be blocking anything we try to upload from images to modules.

    • hi joshua,

      in your joomla root folder you will find the file configuration.php.
      you may have to change the file permissions, to be able to save the changes in your joomla global configurations.

      you could also download a copy of that file onto your own pc and edit the lines to point to the correct path.
      then rename the original file on the live server to something else (as a backup) and upload the changed file.

      Your suggestion worked, I used the code editor in the C Panel to edit the configuration.php file,
      wonderful!
      But I am still unable to upload extensions or photos (although the alerts are less dire).

      If I attempt to install extensions I have used before, I am told, 'Unable to find install package'.
      When I try to upload photos, I get:
      * JFTP::store: Bad response
      * Warning: Failed to move file!
      * Error. Unable to upload file.

      do you have any suggestions?
