How to block domains?

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to block users from a specific domain/country from registering? I know how to block them after they have registered, but is there a way to reject any requests from, for example, Russia?

Hi,
I was thinking why not to block IPs on server level, not on Joomla? If your hosting provider uses Cpanel, you can block traffic there.

Hi -
Thanks for your idea with cPanel (which I have). The problem for me is that one of my sites is being hit a couple of times a week with people registering with "strange" details and Russian email adresses. I cannot se the IP's only the email adresses, so I figure that blocking the country would be the best bet (for me).

OK, so... Here are some solutions that (might) work on Server Level:

And from there links to:
www.find-ip-address.org/ip-country/ - on the bottom you can select which country you want to block... It will generate a file (guess .htaccess), or you can update the file with the generated one.
Similar solution:
www.blockacountry.com/
Every country has its own IP address range.
