Changing/Removing Menus in Populus

    • Hi all! I'm a new member here at Rockettheme.com but have been building sites for a while now.
However, I do not have much experience with Joomla. Most sites I've worked with built with Joomla were already built and I just made changes and what not.

I downloaded the Populus template and am trying to turn the home page into something presentable for a doctor's office I do work for.

On the left side of the page there are 3 menus. One is "Latest News", one is "Most Popular" and the 3rd (which lies below the other two) has no name and I've unpublished the items under it.

Anyway, I want to get rid of these 3 menus, categories or whatever they are called.

      Can someone help me please!!!!

      Thanks!!!

    • Hello,

Could you please provide your website link so we can see and check the problem?

    • Sure, my site is a mess right now of course... But mainly because I cannot remove those 3 menus (topmenu).

If I could get even close to what the demo looked like it wouldn't be so bad, but I don't want to use Rocket Launcher due to the fact that I would have to uninstall Joomla! 1.5....

      Rokslide will not work either....

the url is: www.addictionologyassociates.com (I've been viewing it through Firefox).

Give me a second to take the maintenance page down....

      Thanks!!!!

    • Great! Being able to see the layout of the site really puts things into perspective. Thank you!!! Now, I have another question. How can I create additional slots, i.e. user6, user7, user8, user9, etc. I believe that the Tabbed browsing feature must have additional "userx's".

Plus, if I want to place modules in other places I need to create new sections I guess? Forgive my ignorance on this matter, my skills are mostly in Network Administration/Network Engineering.

Again, thank you for your help already and in advance Arifin. I see you are in Japan, just get back to me when you can.

      Thanks!

      David B.
