    • Hi,
We are currently creating a information website with the TerranTribune template.
We have a category named Whitepapers where we place some text and a link to, in this case a pdf file. Now we want users to leave there company, name, phone number and e-mail address before they can download a whitepaper. We want to keep this a simple as possible so they don't have to create a member account. But we want to keep this option open if they want to receive news letters.

Is this possible with a standard future in joomla or are there other ways.
      Thanks in advance

    • Seems the easiest way to do this would be to have users register to access the white papers.

Even if you link the download to the PDF to a form, after they fill out a form and it redirects them to a link to download, they'd have to enter the info again if they wanted another form...

So, you'd need a form for each file that users would want to download, and again, users would need to enter their info each time they wanted to DL a new PDF.

So IMO, registration seems to be the best option.

    • Well, you could publish a login module on a download menu, then set some of your content to registered users.

When they register they'll be redirected but you can redirect them to the download page.
    • Thanks,
