No dropdown ("+") on side Roknav menus

I have a problem on my site that i've been trying to figure out for a while and just can't seem to get it. On the demo site for the Mynxx module, the left side menu's have little circles with plus signs in them you can click to open the dropdown menu for sub-items (for example the Mac excessories item). I was wondering how to set this up because none of my top level menu items (with sub-items) show this button to open the drop down menu (the menu at the top of my page works fine and drops down, only the side menu's don't work).
