Switching the promo picture between languages with Joomfish?

  • Switching the promo picture between languages with Joomfish?

Posted 15 years 9 months ago
    • Hello All,

I would like to switch the "Promo" picture in the Catalyst Template when I switch between languages. I am using Joomfish.

So far I have not been able to figure out how or if this can be done. Could anyone share some possibilities, if there are any?

      Thanks,

      Andy

    • Have you tried renaming the image for the second language and referencing it in the translation manager?
    • Thanks,

    • Thanks for pointing me in a direction. The dilemma that I am facing is that I cannot find the original image - as it appears to be embedded some how. (i.e. Not a module or a content item.) When I click on the manage translations, there is nothing that points to the original image as a option.

By the way, I see that you are in Japan. I lived there for a few years with the JET program and really loved it. I am missing it often.

    • It's a Custom HTML Module published in the header position.

      this is the code:

      <img src="templates/rt_catalyst_j15/images/promo.png" alt="promo" class="png" id="promo" />

When you are in the Translation Manager you may have to turn off your WYSIWYG editor or switch to HTML view.

If you are using a WYSIWYG, you'll need to turn off the code cleanup feature.

For the default TinyMCE 2.0, Extensions, Plugin Manager > TinyMCE 2.0
    • Thanks,

    • Thank you very much. I was never aware that the header was a module. As soon as you shared this bit of know-how the rest was all downhill. I have no idea how I could have overlooked this after working in the system for such a long time.

      THANKS!
