How to omit site title from the front-page?

Using the template TerranTribune; I'm experiencing complications removing the site's title from the home page. I've tried to omit modules in that front page position, but I can't find the module that controls this panel. I've tried to find settings in the template TerranTribune, but I don't see any options.
Is there some type of switch button within Joomla's Global Settings?

In admin backend, Go to menus >> mainmenu >> home
In parameters, You can change Show Page Title to no - Quick tips::
1) Clear your browser cache if changes dont reflect
2) Provide link to your site to help us help you better
3) Use in firebug

I am having the same difficulties with the Affinity Template. However when I go into Main Menu > Home and under Parameter it just states "there are no parameter settings for this menu item"
Is there another way to get rid of these large in your face page titles?

Check if it is the the default menu item. Also, Are you able to see parameters for the other menu items? - Quick tips::

- Thank you for your help. Other pages do give me the parameters and I was able to change a few pages. The Home page does not give me that option. As for if it is set as default ... I have no idea how to do that. I am using the Main Menu however the Top Menu does have an Astrix beside it. Not sure if that indicates anything. In a few pages I have my web address showing up just like the page tiles (in huge white block spread across the page) and would love to get ride of it. Do you know where to find this?
