Please help.. How to load my backup??

OK, I did a stupid mistake and accidentally installed another joomla installation in the same database as my one I use for another database.
It deleted all my content etc.
However, I have the backup tables.
I already inserted them etc. but even though I now have everything how it pretty much was before (changed table prefix bak_ to jos_ and deleted the new one and replaced with old ones, even reinstalled etc.)
When I go to the site it shows me no content what so ever. Just like it did not insert any tables.
Also, I have my old Components, Modules and so on still in my FTP Server (unchanged) but it doesnt show me any of them (only the standard joomla ones)
This really sucks... there are months of work and I just installed your template yesterday and it looked amazing...
