Article Archives Not Working

    • Hello,

I'm using mod_archive on my site and it has been working fine in the past, but now it isn't. I only found out about it when someone told me that it wasn't working.

      Visit my site at: http://www.vmwusa.org

      Put your cursor over NEWS

Then scroll down to ARTICLE ARCHIVES and select it.

This part works fine as it takes you to the months/years of archived content. However, when you click a month, it brings up a 404 message. I know there are archived articles from a few months ago because I saw them there before. I even tried disabling the orginal mod I created and creating a new one and it still did the same thing with the newly created mod. Any help is MUCH appreciated...this is a HUGE feature of our site!! Thanks.

      Brandon

    • Does it work if you disable SEF?

      Basic Core SEF:

If joomla is in the root; htdocs, or public_html...

In Global Configurations, Search Engine Friendly URLs Yes, Use Apache mod_rewrite Yes, Add suffix to URLs No.

      Change htaccess.txt to .htaccess.

If it’s in a folder, you need to change the # RewriteBase / to reflect the path of your site.

      Change:

      # RewriteBase /

      to:

RewriteBase /(the name of the folder joomla is in)

If that doesn't work, search or post here:

      forum.joomla.org/viewforum.php?f=544

If you are using a 3rd part component, contact the developer.
