    • Just thought I would let everyone know.
      I had a problem with my wampserver so installed the latest version which had php 5.3.0 and it did not work. Errors everywhere.
      If this is old knew then mods please delete the thread.

      So if you get any a lot of errors with just a plain installation of joomal or RT template then check if you have upgraded your server.

      have you double checked with the joomla forum itself?

      Yes Katrin I got this info from the joomla forums itself.
      If you have come across my thread which i found the solution.
      It was a faulty WAMPserver installation that was causing the problem.
      So i downloaded the latest wampserver 2i. This has php 5.3.0 installed.
      When I setup up my old sites on the server it started giving loads of errors.
      Then I installed Affinity. It installed very well(the installation error had gone). But I got loads of errors in the front end.
      When I check in Joomla forums I heard this.
      I download the php 5.2.9 addon for wampserver. Installed and switched the version and all my sites include the affinity started working well.
      I think many might not know it and if they go around upgrading their wampserver/xamp/localservers then they migh face this problem.
      So it is better that people are warned officially.
      I dont think hosting companies will make the switch to 5.3.0 without informing the customers, unless these errors only appear in Joomla(which is highly unlikely)
