Frameset error in Firefox

    • When my site loads in firefox there is an error with the frameset that causes the source code to not be transmitted to the browser. This results in the meta-data not coming through to the browser; particularly the page title and page description.

In internet explorer this does not seem to be an issue. When I check the demo of versatility 4 the source code appears normal.

Any ideas what might be causing it? Thank you very much in advance!

    • Hello,

Could you please provide your website link so we can see and check the problem?

    • Sorry for taking so long to reply. My subscription expired! I'm all renewed now. The link is www.ar10t.com/

the url www.ar10t.com/index.php works fine. There is something wrong with how the site redirects to the index.php page.

      Thanks!

    • It seems you put your site inside iframe. Could you please check what code did you put in index.html (not index.php) ?

    • That is what confuses me. The contents of my index.html file is the same as what was distrubited with the package:
      <html><body bgcolor="#FFFFFF"></body></html>

I've used dreamweaver to search the entire site for snipits of code that match what is shown there but to no avail.

It does not error in IE. Just Firefox that this happens. Think it might be something the hosting company has done?

    • Could you please send me a PM with your FTP details so I can look closer to your problem?

      PM sent.

Something else I thought of was maybe I messed up part of the code somewhere in the original Joomla install so I just unpacked the 1.5.15 files on my site and I am still having the same problem.

    • I think you sent me the Joomla superadmin details. Could you please send me the ftp details point to your Joomla folder so I can check the file in your Joomla directory.

    • Oh, sorry I gave you FTP access to my entire site. I thought you wanted to look through the files.

I did find the problem and fix it after a grueling all-nighter. I ended up compressing my entire httpdocs directory and downloading it to my local machine and then decompressing it and searching the code with Dreamweaver. It turns out there was a .redirect.php file in my httpdocs that was put there by my host to handle subdomains. I deleted all of the subdomains and bingo! Site works A-OK now! Also fixed my CBcaptcha problem with registration and session problems users were having!

Thank you for taking the time to look at this for me!

You gave me only the Joomla superadmin details not the ftp details so I couldn't look at your files in the server. However, Glad to hear that your problem is solved
