Can´t show unauthorized links or articles

Hello!. The problem is that i need some of my articles and menus to show but not to be fully accesible until user is loged in.
So i went to the content manager and in configuration changed "Show unauthorized links" to "yes". Also changed that setting in the menu item of the frontpage to "yes".
But if i change a cathegory or menu item to "registered" or "special", it just disapears and is showed only if the user is loged in.
I found EVERYWHERE an easy explanation "Just change the setting Show unauthorized links to yes" but that is not working. I believed this was something wrong with some plugin on the site (i first had the problem in www.saludpanama.com/ -Joomla 1.5.14- where i have lots of plugins running), but then i found that in other site (a RT Launcher site with joomla 1.5.9 with no aditional plugins) i have the same problem.
Both sites are using the legacy plugin on. I don´t know if that have anything to do.
I want to know if this problem have relation with the RT themes and if someone have any idea on how to fix this i will apreciate it a lot. Thank you in advance, i just gived up searching for an answer (by the way, there are many similar cases on the web and no one have a final answer).

Yes I think is is a bug. There appears to be a problem with some of the rok module that show content from categories. Basically they do not show the article even if "show authorized links" is set to yes. I have seen many comments on this as well but have not heard of a solution yet. - I am enjoying myself...does it matter that I have no idea what I am doing most of the time?
