Problem with MOOMENU under versatillity

Hi, on my site a had a menue that was getting a little long, so I decided to make some groups for cleaning up the menu. The problem: If I have menuitems coming of the FIRST menu entries, no problem. If I go of the SECOND menu entries with new menus I just get a mess. Looks like the menu entries just overlay each other instead of disappearing and showing the next row of menus.

Problems start with items in MENU03 overlapping

I have reset the menus but as you can see under 'Ereignisse 2009' is a tad long. So I created three new MENU03 entries and moved the entries under MENU02 as needed. PROBLEM: Menuitems overlap / are not clean up properly when moving from one MENU03 to another.
While I'm at it, how do I make the menuboxes wider?

Hi Kat,
I inserted the menue point 'POCG-Ausfahrten'. If you move the mouse across this menupoint it opens '04.04. - Museum'. So far so good!!!
Now move the mouse to 'Diverse Ausfahrten' and the 'Museum' does not disappear. 
Tried on SAFARI and FIREFOX 3.5.3, same difference. Any ideas?
How can I make the menu points wider? Any ideas?

it is a problem with the template!! I started to port my site to JOOMLA 1.5 and the problem is gone.
