I am not able to change the title on the front page of my site. I have checked the two usual places: global configuration and mainmenu->home->system parameters. In the global configuration it only says "CEO Teams" and in the home->system parameters it is blank.
So I don't know where it is getting the title from. I even looked to see if I might of hard-coded it into the index.php, but I didn't. Can someone help? I would be glad to PM log-in credentials.
I am having the same issue with several of my sites, most notably with the Iridium (November) and Reaction (December) templates installed via RocketLauncher.
I have updated the site name in the global configuration, turned on/off SEO settings, purged cache, and even did a text-search (grep command) with every file in my system but my site name is still showing up as "Iridium November 2009" in the browser on the front page.
Could anyone help with this? When using RocketLauncher with previous templates (Affinity in particular), I've never seen this issue.
Here's the sites I'm having the issue on:
www.rochesterrealestateny.com
(Installed with Iridium RocketLauncher, this template is currently active)
www.rochesterbizdirectory.com
(installed with Reaction RocketLauncher, although Affinity template is currently active)
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
That solved my dilemma which I've spent hours trying to figure out. That seems a rather odd, hidden place for the title to be set...it must have been something new that wasn't present in the previous templates, as typically setting the site name in the Global Config seemed did the trick in the past.
Secondly, ensure you are clearing your browser cache, and Joomla cache (Admin > Site > Clean Cache), as some changes will not even show up until you clear your cache.
