    Edit or replace default login page

    • I hate the look of the default login page. Is there a way to change/replace/disable it without hacking the core. Its location is /index.php?option=com_user&view=login

    • I think you can create an override for this in your current template's directory...

      This is where the core files are located and you'll want to copy any that you need (I'm showing the one specific to the login page here):

      components/com_user/views/login/tmpl/default_login.php

      Paste that file in your current templates html directory here:

      templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_user/login/default_login.php

      Make the changes to this new file and that will not change the core code but will override it.

      There is another file in that directory for the logout page that can also be customized this way.

      Affinity is an RT template that has this done already if you wanted to download something for an example to look at.
