- I am having trouble now with my media manager ... it doesnt seem to want to let me upload media as the "browse files" button just doesnt have any action to it ... not sure what might be wrong.

hi again,
in your joomla admin, please go to > site > global configuration > system > media settings...
if "enable flash uploader" is set to yes, then please change to no.

Ok. That warning is gone. Now, the jpg files I upload kicks nacka warning that says "not a valid image."
I have settings set 10m max upload and the following as legal file types:
bmp,gif,jpg,png
not sure how to narrow this down more ... what about my "allow web services" toggle in System settings?
