    • Hi,

Whenever I start a new site and load in a new Rocketheme I always get the same 4 problems when going into template manage...

      Folder templates/rt_dominion_j15 is not writeable.
      Folder administrator/templates/system/ is not writeable.
      Folder templates/rt_dominion_j15/custom is not writable.

and also the params.ini file is alo not writable

      every single time.

Anyone get this too and know how to avoid it as I'm fed up with FTP'ing in every time to change all the permissions.

I should also add that I can never load a Rocketheme into the site using install/uninstall either, I always have to FTP it in.

    • Hello,

These are specific requirements for Gantry templates and need to be writable by apache/php depending on your host type. In this case you will have to ftp in to make these writable or have the ability to set the ownership on the files so apache/php can modify the files. I made a commandline script for my own specific server.

      I hope this helps.

    • I see!

      Thanks so much Sean.

I guess it's no big deal going in each time and adjusting the permissions.

As I don't have anything to do with the server, I'll just stick to this.

Which files do you need to change permissions on?
