Save Article Turns Browser White Fatal Error on w/ Dominion

    • I am using the Dominion template and I am getting a fatal error when trying to edit an article. I read in a previous post that this was fixed by updating to php5 and another post it said installing jcomment for some reason would help. But I have php5 already and jcomment installed. My site is functioning perfectly other than this one bug. Any thoughts? Has anyone else experienced this?

    • I checked my server error logs and I have a ton of "PHP Warning: imagecreatefromjpeg" - I installed from a joomlapack backup by ftp. I was reluctant to include the entire error on here..Should I do that?
To be a bit more specific it is saying the error is in thumbnail.inc.php on line 158

I meant installed on an existing site or with the Rocket Launcher with or without the sample data.

If it was working on one localhost or 'Server A' and now it doesn't work on 'Server B'... there are a few possibilities

      1. Files got missed in the transfer

Whenever possible, upload the zip and extract it on your server and opposed to uploading all the files in a directory.

      2. The settings on 'Server B' are different from your localhost or 'Server A'

      3. The directory you installed the template in was not 'clean', i.e., there were some old files in the root that cause problems with the new installation.

So, I would try FTPing the zipped backup to your host, extracting it in a sub folder and running another test install on a new DB.

That would give you some idea of why this previously functioning site is not functioning.

And yes, we'd like to see the error logs and perhaps a screen shot of the error you receive when tying to edit Articles.
