  • All OR Nothing?

    • I just do not get why I cannot get this Gantry to work correctly.

      I am trying to add a menu on the right side of a page on my site. I only need the menu on 4 pages that consist of one category.

      In order for me to get this to work.. I have to select ALL for the menu to appear.. Whenever I just select the pages that I need for it to show.. then it does not show.

      Has anyone had this issue?

    • Are you using a mod_mainmenu or a mod_roknavmenu module type? Are you sure that you're selecting the correct pages from the correct menu in the "Menu Assignment" section of the module editor? Can you upload a screenshot of the module editor page as you have it configured?

      I just don't know what this means :-(

      I think it is mainmenu because I do not see an optionj for rocknavmenu...

      Perhaps this can be my problem??

      There is something weird because when I switch the default template over to a yootheme or another template.. everything shows up properly.

      Even though it is a free template.. I absolutely love it for what I need it to do for this new site I am developing...

      It seems like whenever I want to add a module.. nothing shows up UNLESS I select ALL

      Is this common with tis template? Thanks for your help!!

    • RokNavMenu is a module that RocketTheme created to handle menu functionality. If you're using the Quasar template, you don't need it. Is it possible that you're assigning the module to the wrong module position? If the module position exists for the YooTheme template but not for Quasar, you'll need to change the module position to one that exists for the Gantry template. demo.rockettheme.com/free/quasar/features/module-positions

      Then again, I guess they wouldn't show up at all even if you selected "All" under the menu assignment section. So...I guess I've really been of no help at all. Sorry.

      i had a look and i dont believe this is a template or gantry issue.

      i created a copy of your 'arcade games' menu, which is now called 'copy of arcade games' and i assigned it to the right module position. when i then check your site with rhuk_milkyway template, then that menu still does not show up.

      so something else must be wrong here.

      in case i am misunderstanding anything, please let me know.

      Thank you so much for looking into this Kat!

      Did you notice that perhaps my menu structure could be wrong or perhaps I set it up incorrectly?

      Last night when I tried one of the yoothemes..all kinds of crazy stuff appeared on the template (from me trying to test out all of the different modules)

      I also noticed that my main menu did not show up correctly on that test.

      Is there a Rockettheme plugin I need to install to get the menus to show up correctly?

      sorry about the late reply.

      you do not need to install any further plugins for the menu to work.

      i suggest that you create a new menu and setup new menu links and then check if you will be able to show that new menu in the sidebar position.
