  • Grunge - Footer Module Query

    • Hi

      I have just started using Joomla and have installed Grunge and also the RokStories extension.

      How do I get content to show in the bottom / main-bottom and footer module positions as in the demo?

      Regards
      Ernie

    • 1) Demo Information, published on footer-a
      <p>All demo content is for demo <strong>purposes</strong> only, to show an example of a <strong>live site</strong>. All images are the copyright of their respective owners.</p>

      2) XHTML/CSS3 Valid, published on footer-b
      <p>The template is fully compliant with the <a href="http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://demo.rockettheme.com/free/grunge" target="_blank"><strong>XHTML 1.0 Transitional</strong></a> and <a target="_blank" href="http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fdemo.rockettheme.com%2Ffree%2Fgrunge&amp;profile=css3&amp;usermedium=all&amp;warning=1&amp;lang=en"><strong>CSS3 standards</strong></a>, as set by the World Wide Web Consortium.</p>

      3) Contact Details, published on footer-c
      <ul>
        <li>Grunge Template Inc.</li>
        <li>133 Hydrax Business Estate</li>
        <li>Seattle, WA, 54868</li>
        <li>United States of America</li>
      </ul>

      All those 3 modules are Custom HTML modules.

    • Hi
      Thanks for that - so easy when you know how! So I guess I can put a `html module' in most positions.

      Also, how do I get rid of the `sticky tape' image that remains if I hide the date of a post.
      This image is hidden for guests.

      So the image would be at the top of the post?

      And is there an issue with RokSlider as when I place a slideshow in the showcase area, the logo (the luggage tag type image) appears over the first 2 images and then it drops below the image - is there a way for each slideshow image to appear above the logo

    • For the date background, Edit your template.css at:
      <Joomla Root>/templates/<your template name>/css/template.css

      At the end of the lines, add below codes:

      .blog .contentdate {background: none;}

      For your other issue, would you mind opening a new thread so we can keep the forum organized? I would be happy to assist you and just reply me back with your new thread.

    • Hi

      Thanks for that it did the trick.

      I have posted a new issue regarding the alignment of the logo if you can look when you can.

      Thanks

      With this style, the image is gone, but there is still an invisible element where the date used to be that the text is wrapping around. Any way to eliminate this?

      Could you please provide your website link so we can see and check the problem, Pako?
