Modify display of Quasar

Hi,
I'm confused(!) and have spent the last couple of hours going around in circles
I want to modify the quasar css to allow me to have a background image with the various elements of the site in various shades of grey/white. Using style6.css I have been able to adjust #rt-top to do what I want but I have been unable to adjust the 'rest'.
I hope this image explains what I want:

This type of customization is more than we offer as forum support. If you need help with this you can hire help in the
Market Place forum
or you could get familiar with CSS here: www.w3schools.com/css/
and identify the elements you want to add teh background to using FIREBUG or Google Chrome's Dev Tools
